A new super PAC supporting former President Donald J. Trump has $27 million in cash on hand, the group says two days after holding its first event with Trump ahead of the November election. This was revealed by a person involved.
Super PAC Right for America raised $13.05 million in fundraising in the first quarter of this year, officials said. An additional $12 million was raised in connection with the event, with another $2 million raised this month.
“We are thrilled with the support we have received in our first few weeks,” said Right for America Treasurer Lee Rizzuto. “We look forward to playing our part in securing Donald Trump's return to the White House.”
Isaac Perlmutter, the former chief executive of Marvel Entertainment, has been the group's largest donor since its formation a few weeks ago. Mr. Perlmutter and his wife, Laura, donated $10 million, according to a person familiar with the amount.
Right for America held its first event Tuesday night, a dinner attended by about 25 people at Mar-a-Lago, Trump's private club and residence in Palm Beach, Florida. The group is planning another fundraising dinner in the near future, but disbursements are not expected to begin until closer to the November general election.
Those attending the dinner included Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.'s fiancee, who helped invite some people to the rally, officials said.
The group is led by Sergio Gore, a longtime friend of Mr. Trump and author of two books about Mr. Trump since he took office. This is the second super PAC to support Trump, after Make America Great Again, and the first since Trump announced his third presidential bid in November 2022. has become a major external organization supporting the
