A gunman opened fire inside a Nashville high school Wednesday, injuring two people before fatally shooting himself, police said.
The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department said it was investigating the shooting at Antioch High School, about 20 miles southeast of downtown Nashville, but there were no new threats. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also responded, according to the Nashville office.
The conditions of those injured in the shooting are unknown.
Metro Nashville Public Schools announced the high school was placed on lockdown around noon local time. Officials have set up a reunion area for parents.
This is a developing story.
