Three major wildfires continued to rage through the Los Angeles area for a second day Wednesday, destroying more than 1,000 buildings and displacing tens of thousands of people, authorities said.
Officials warned that the main fires, the Palisades, Hearst and Eaton fires, are far from contained, with efforts hampered by reduced water supplies and strong winds. Authorities issued mandatory evacuation orders after each fire.

Where to find updates
Interactive maps including evacuation orders, warnings, school closures, animal shelters and road closures for the Palisades, Hearst, and Eaton fires are available on the Cal Fire website. Incident reports for each fire from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection are also posted on the site.
The app, called Watch Duty, is run by dispatchers, emergency medical workers, and active and retired firefighters to track wildfire conditions. The app is also derived from satellite data and features real-time maps and incident feeds showing fire intensity and spread.
Latest information from Los Angeles County Emergency Services can also be found on each agency's official social media accounts.
