This is breaking news. It's breaking news at 4:00 right now. Greensboro police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder. Last year, officers announced the arrest of Marlo High on Friday for the death of Eric Burdon. Burdon was found dead in a Durham Street home in March 2023. High is being held without bail in the Guilford County Jail in Wilkes County. A former teacher and coach faces more than 20 charges for allegedly having sex with a student, court documents show. According to the Wilkes County School District, the allegations against David Gregory date back to 2006. Gregory had been employed by the company since 2005 and worked at North Wilkes Middle and High School. Gregory was suspended without pay on May 1 and resigned on Friday. In Winston-Salem, police say they currently have a warrant out for a murder charge in the death of a man in Salem Lake Park earlier this year. Authorities made the first arrest of a 40-year-old man. Jerry Howard was taken into custody in Patrick County, Virginia, in April in connection with the death of 27-year-old Rodney Adams Jr. Adams was found in the park in March and died a few weeks later. Police say charges against Howard have since been aggravated and he is in custody in Virginia, awaiting extradition to North Carolina. Agents and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are conducting post-explosion training for law enforcement. According to Henry County Sheriff's Office officers, a man who is a member of a triad group is facing multiple charges from law enforcement. Just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, the Eden Police Department notified the Henry County Sheriff's Office that they were pursuing a wanted man on Highway 87. The pursuit continued into Henry County. Upon reaching the Virginia state line, Eden police called off the pursuit. He was taken into custody, and police found illegal drugs in his possession. The Henry County Sheriff's Office charged Dillard with felony counts of manufacture, sale, transfer or distribution, or possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, transfer or distribute a controlled substance, and fleeing a police officer. He also had eight outstanding arrest warrants issued by the Danville Police Department. Eden Police also plan to file charges against him. Eden police informed the Henry County Sheriff's Office that the suspect, identified as Devron Dillard, was wanted and had illegal drugs in his vehicle.
Henry County police found the suspect vehicle, a Ford Explorer, on Morehead Road, traveling at speeds in excess of 100 mph.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but Dillard did not stop and continued to drive at a high rate of speed. Due to reckless driving, a precision braking maneuver was performed, causing the Ford to lose control and come to a stop after striking a guardrail.

Dillard broke a window and exited the SUV, leading to a police pursuit. The suspect was taken into custody and police found illegal drugs in his possession.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office charged Dillard with felony counts of manufacture, sale, transfer or distribution, or possession with the intent to manufacture, sell, transfer or distribute, of a controlled substance, and fleeing a law enforcement officer.
Dillard had eight outstanding arrest warrants issued by the Danville Police Department, and the Eden Police Department also plans to file charges against him.
