For 17 years, “Rich States, Poor States” has laid out a roadmap for what works and what doesn't at the state level. I think what we really believe and what the report shows is at the heart of this report. I think it's that states are competing with each other on economic policies to attract job creators and new residents.
North Carolina again performed very well in this year's report, which examined all factors that affect the state's economic outlook, including income tax rates, worker freedom policies, and government spending.
