Elon Musk has made the utmost allowable donations to Republican lawmakers who support federal judges for the U.S. Murder, who is obstructing the actions Trump has taken, according to five people with knowledge of the issue.
Musk has given the biggest hard dollar contribution to a campaign of seven Republicans who either approved judicial bullet each or called for some form of “action” in response to a recent ruling against the Trump administration, including a weekend decision by U.S. District Court Judge James E. Boasberg in Washington. The combined federal limits for first and general elections are $6,600.
On Saturday, Judge Boasberg ordered Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador and return them to the US, and the administration would spin the intersecting planes. The administration failed to comply with the order, urging concerns about a constitutional showdown.
Trump later said on social media that Judge Boasberg should be fired each.
Musk contributed to Arizona's Eli Crane, Colorado's Lauren Beaubert, Tennessee's Andy Ogres, Georgia's Andrew Clyde, Wisconsin's Derrick Van Olden and Texas's Brandon Gill. He also donated to Sen. Charles E. Grassley, a Republican of Iowa, according to two people who were described on the issue.
Mr Gill presented an article on Malfunction Each against Judge Boasberg after the judge issued a temporary order blocking accusations of the 1798 alien enemy law to deport Venezuelans.
Boebert says he supports the perpetrator article against Judge Boasberg, who takes the stance that Musk praised him on social media sites.
Crane introduced a perk each article against Judge Paul A. Engelmeyer of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He temporarily restricted access that Musk's government's cost-cutting team had to pay and data systems for the Treasury.
“We didn't do that, so Elon Musk will give us a campaign donation,” Crane said in an interview shortly after learning of Musk's donation. “But I think it's great that individuals like Elon are throwing support behind our people who are trying to take action.”
Crane is considered vulnerable by Democrats in his 2026 reelection campaign.
“I don't have any prior knowledge of Elon Musk's campaign contributions,” Clyde said. He added: “I'm very grateful for what he did.”
And Ogres, who introduced a resolution that would allow Trump to serve in the third term, said he was “honored” to gain Musk's support. “His dedication is not only admirable. It is essential to the future of our Republic,” he said.
Musk did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
On Wednesday, Musk wrote to X: “There has never been any extreme abuse of the legal system by activists pretending to be judges for over two centuries.
He previously called their decision a “judicial coup.”
The contribution to the relatively safe Republican incumbent sent a message about Musk's willingness to support lawmakers who support Trump's agenda. And they highlighted how Musk would use his potential support to advance Trump's goals, including things that many Republicans wanted to avoid, including those that many Republicans wanted to avoid, such as bounces each judge.
The donation to Mr. Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, was particularly noteworthy. Grassley doesn't ask for Judge Boasberg to be fired each, but he condemned the decision to deport and suggested that the Senate would take action accordingly.
“On another day, another judge will unilaterally decide on national policy,” Grassley wrote to X.
Musk has supported the concept of Judge Break each for weeks. However, these calls have been escalating these days. Trump, who has long been critical of judges, called out the same thing, saying he would try to cut his authority.
“This judge should be bounced each like I'm forced to show up before, like many of the crooked judges!!!” Trump wrote Tuesday on social media website Truth Social.
Secretary John G. Roberts Jr. issued a rare statement shortly after Trump's post, saying, “For over two centuries, the ammo has been established as “for more than two centuries, the ammo each is not an appropriate response to disagreements over judicial decisions.” He added, “the usual appeal review process exists for that purpose.”
Musk's efforts on behalf of Trump will ensure that by pursuing a hearing of each of the ammo each of them deemed hostile to the administration's agenda, they will bolster attempts to please SpaceX and Tesla billionaire owners, as well as the president's billionaire owners.
Of course, Musk could also follow up with more money to external groups who support efforts that are not subject to contribution restrictions. He spent nearly $300 million in the 2024 election and his super PAC promised to focus on the Down Ballot race in 2025.
Musk has generally supported supporting his group, rather than making a direct donation to politicians. During the 2024 general election, Musk was late in making donations to Trump's campaign. Recently, Super PAC spent $1 million on national ads praising Trump.
