“Yankees are on top.'' “Victor is on your side. Yankees are on the other side of Topanga, okay?'' Volunteers from a community fire department are working on the streets of Topanga, California. The Palisades Fire had invaded this home and Keegan Gibbs and his team were working to evacuate the owners. “Okay, hello. So we have to hurry.” “Honestly, I want you to quit now, because things are getting worse.” “No, I'll be out of here in five minutes.” ” The brigade operates to back up the fire department when resources are insufficient. “Los Angeles County and other support agencies are the best in the world at what they do. Events like this alone are not enough.” The Palisades Fire has been burning for several days and has destroyed tens of thousands of acres. “It makes no sense for anyone to try to stay here. It's incredibly dangerous.” But when I walked around the property, I was like, oh, this is not safe. Can you open that up? I'd like to throw something more in here. It works. Just put a photo of your precious memory in it.” “There is a persistent negative opinion that people are immune to fires, and we need to support people to recognize and accept the risks.” More Los Angeles residents are expected to join the tens of thousands of Los Angeles residents who have already been forced to evacuate due to uncontrolled fires. “Our mission is to keep people safe. Just come to a complete stop.”
