Four children or teenagers were killed, and at least four others were injured on Monday, according to state police.
The victim is believed to be over 18 years old, the Illinois State Police Department said in a news release.
The car struck three other people outside the building and another person among them, police said. Several people were taken to hospital and at least one person was airlifted, authorities said.
Illinois State Police spokesperson Melanie Arnold said there was no additional information regarding the injury Monday evening.
The driver was not injured and was evaluated at the hospital Monday evening, state police said.
Officers responded to calls for vehicles driving outdoor summer and after-school camps Monday afternoon, state police said.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
