At least two people were killed and 21 injured in a knife attack at a hospital in China on Tuesday, authorities said.
The stabbing occurred around 11:30 a.m. in southwestern Yunnan province, according to a statement from Zhenxiong County Police. Police added that a man had been arrested.
The attack occurred at Zhenxiong People's Hospital, an official from the Zhenxiong County Health Bureau said by phone on Tuesday. She did not reveal her name or other details.
The victim was hospitalized, police said. A motive was not disclosed.
Knife attacks are not uncommon in China, where gun regulations are strict, and a stabbing incident has even occurred inside a hospital.
