RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — The North Carolina State Board of Elections is scheduled to consider a petition on Tuesday to put “We the People” and “Justice for All” political parties on the November ballot.
Both campaigns have garnered enough signatures that it's now up to the board to make a decision.
This has been a continuing topic of discussion during this election period.
As you may recall, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee launched an investigation into the group last month after the committee's Democratic majority voted to reject the certification of those two parties, as well as the conservative Constitution Party.
The committee said it was concerned the decision was politically motivated, a charge the board denied.
Last week, the electoral commission agreed to allow the conservative Constitution Party to run.

State leaders have decided to allow one Constitution Party candidate to run in this fall's election after rejecting requests from three third parties to run in the November election.
The party's national chair told ABC11 Eyewitness News he is extremely grateful that the elections board “made the right decision” and certified the party on the ballot.
But the committee postponed decisions on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West, saying it learned that some voters who signed petitions in support of candidates didn't understand what they were signing.
The Constitutional Party must finalize the names of all its candidates within two weeks.
So far, the Democrats, Republicans, Green Party, Libertarian Party and No Label Party have seats up for grabs in the November election.
Tuesday's meeting begins at 10:30 a.m.
